Conclusions HESTELO 2012

From the results of the Survey of Study Habits and Movildad 2012 we can draw the following conclusions:

  1. Only third of students conducting a study that can qualify as continuing while 20% only studies in a timely manner.
  2. The time is dedicated to studying between 2 and 3 hours mostly
  3. Students interrupt their study session to do a rest that lasts 5 and 10 minutes, and also tend to suffer between 1 and 3 interruptions per hour that make them divert attention from the study.
  4. Moons has viernes, student studied mainly in the afternoon.
  5. Students half not adhered to the time available to study but most are satisfied with the academic results obtaining a function of time invested.
  6. The importance they attach themselves to students planning study time is greater than the practice of the same.
  7. The exams and deliverables are prepared in advance and sufficiently, while classes are not treated equally by students.
  8. Almost all students study in your room and are usually accompanied by music and are connected to chat online while studying
  9. A large majority of students are satisfied with the conditions of their study environment.
  10. The no group work is the preferred study, except perhaps for preparing exams.
  11. For documentation, students prefer notes, the material provided by the teacher and the Internet, last leaving the book as a source of study.
  12. When preparing for examinations, most of the time devoted to solve problems and make outlines and summaries.
  13. Students are divided on the satisfaction with the academic results obtained in relation to the effort invested in the study.
  14. The computer is a basic tool to study, and the use of mobile devices is still low, being smart mobile phone the most widely used.
  15. Students think that could be most useful where mobile devices is in the search for information.
  16. The 44% use mobile devices in class, although only 2% initiative does teacher. The 17% have prohibited use.
